Why this site exists

Most people start searching for this kind of help after a scare: a fall, a missed call, a pill bottle that's emptier than it should be. Then they find a wall of product lists that all look the same, many written without much care for who's actually going to use the product.

ParentProofed is written for you, the adult child or caregiver doing the worrying and the buying. We explain the problem in plain language, suggest the simplest fix first, and recommend products only when they genuinely help.

How we choose products

  • We start with the problem, not the product. Many fixes on this site cost nothing at all.
  • We research carefully: specifications, weight ratings, safety standards, return policies and recurring themes in verified buyer feedback.
  • We say what we don't know. Where buyer feedback is thin or mixed, we tell you, and we'll update guides as we learn more.
  • We put safety first. If a popular product isn't safe enough for someone at high risk, we say so.
  • No paid placements. Brands can't pay to appear in our guides.
